News July 7, 2008 Though summer still has awhile to go yet, out activities are starting to ramp up. We're starting to brainstorm for a new off-season project, a team of students is hard at work getting the 2007 robot back up and running after we gutted it for parts[:)], and, finally, we are going to be helping with the LEGO Mindstorm Robotics camp at Shannon Elementary from July 14 to July 24 (make sure to be there by 8:45am!!!!!!). It seems that we'll be busy... The build season will be here before we know it! June 6, 2008 Summer, hooray! Well, team, we've had an amazing season. Our alliance won the regional, we placed excellently in nationals and we'll probably have 60 members by fall! Keep checking your e-mail for summer skill-building activities, fundraisers and elementary mentoring opportunities. April 5, 2008 The competition in Denver is over. We were in the winning alliance, and we're going to nationals in Atlanta! Thanks to all of the students, parents and especially the mentors who made it all happen -you too Bionic Tigers and Winnovation! Rest up team, April 17 is closer than we think! (and check your email!!) February 11, 2008 Deadlines, deadlines everywhere!!! Well, team, we're entering the last week of build season. If there were ever a week to sacrifice your life for the cause, this would be the one. Try to come to every meeting you can, and make sure to finish any of the Chairman's Award or TIMS Registration tasks that you've been assigned, because Chairman's at least is due on the 22nd. Watch the calendar and news pages for crucial updates, as the meeting schedule will probably change several times this week as the deadline approaches. February 6, 2008
Well, build season has finally begun, and we'll be pretty busy for the next six weeks. The current meeting schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5:15pm to 8:00pm-ish, and Saturday, 10:00am to around 2:30pm, though we will probably add in Fridays as time flies by and probably try meeting everyday of the last week before shipment. Try to come to every meeting that you can as your schedule allows, because we are trying to have the robot finished in time to practice for at least a week. Check your e-mails and the website to stay up to date!
